The artist duo Ahmet Rüstem Ekici and Hakan Sorar are introducing FormaSupra, their digital craft brand where they reinterpret the forms of the past using the technology of the future. The brand's highly anticipated first collection will meet the art and design world at a special launch party held at Snob Collector by PG Art Gallery on Tuesday evening, June 17th. Following the launch, the collection will be available for sale exclusively at Snob Collector by PG Art Gallery.
By placing 3D printing technology at its core as a contemporary digital craft, FormaSupra builds a bridge between the aesthetics of the past and the manufacturing possibilities of the future. The founders of the brand define this process as "a dialogue between human intuition and machine intelligence." Each of the 3D-printed bags, vases, "unfading" flowers, and other sculptural objects in the collection is first born as a digital draft using AI algorithms and Text-to-3D tools. Subsequently, these digital drafts are meticulously refined with the founders' artistic vision and expertise, making them ready for 3D printing.
Regarding the new collection, FormaSupra founders Ahmet Rüstem Ekici and Hakan Sorar stated: "For us, FormaSupra is an area of exploration where we bring together the memory of an archaeological form with the infinite possibilities of artificial intelligence. Each design is a reinterpretation of a story, a surface, or an emotion through digital craft. We are incredibly excited and happy to present this first collection at Snob Collector by PG Art Gallery, which speaks the same language as us in terms of its vision and aesthetic understanding."
Also embracing the principle of sustainability, FormaSupra primarily uses PLA (Polylactic Acid) material in its production, which is derived from corn starch, vegan, and biodegradable. The brand's bags are strictly limited to 100 editions, while other designs are limited according to their specific series (such as 20 editions), with each piece possessing an identity certifying its authenticity. Some designs are further enriched with Augmented Reality (AR) technology, offering the audience an additional layer of interactive experience.
Following the launch on June 17th, FormaSupra's first collection can be viewed at Snob Collector by PG Art Gallery and on the brand's website at www.formasupra.com.
